The Px1 is fully alignable with a Limber Thermoformer. This delightfully over-engineered alignment jig allows precise alignment changes… flexion, extension, abduction, and adduction… linear shifts in sagittal and coronal planes, internal and external foot rotations and even height adjustments. An integrated heatgun affords a simple heat/cool process, requiring only 10-15 minutes for a comprehensive adjustment.
The Limber Clinical App is the workhorse of the Limber system. This iOS app lets you scan, clone existing devices, define activity levels, select suspension type, set heel height, choose foot shells, and more. It offers integrated digital scanning and allows external digital scanning solutions. Fully integrates with your own patient management systems. We also offer a web portal so you can track and manage all orders, access support, materials and view training videos. This is the Limber OS.
We may be the world’s first fully 3D printed K3 prosthesis, but we’re human first. In fact, we prefer to get on the phone anytime you need us. Just call. Scan.
Follow the app and scan an existing device by following a few simple steps. Or use the app to scan a check socket from scratch. Takes less than 30 minutes, and the output is a leveled-up version of your design… and hand work. Nothing happens without your socket design.

Order.
Fill in some key patient details and choose suspension options. You hit send and we get busy, using state-of-the-art 3D printing technology with our ground-breaking M3 material. Once you are ready to “send to fab”… leave it with us. We will deliver the finished product and you won’t even need a broom and dustpan to clean up.

Fit.
In about 10 days or so- you take delivery and fit the Px1. You will have a ThermoFormer for alignment changes… but don’t be surprised if they don’t even need a tweak…. Set ‘em off and running. Or swimming. Or playing on the beach.

FAQs
How does the system handle alignment?
Completely. We provide each of our partner clinics with an alignment jig that we call the Limber Thermoformer. The Thermoformer allows for flexion, extension, abduction, adduction, toe-in, toe-out, and even height adjustments. Simply heat up the device with the embedded heat gun, make your adjustments, and then note them in the clinical portal. You can make as many adjustments as you need to, but to be honest, very few devices need adjustment out-of-the-box. This is more like a security blanket than a piece of the workflow.
What kind of scanner do I need to use?
You can use any scanner, but don't go buy anything. The Limber Clinical App comes with a built-in 3D scanner at no charge to you, and we recommend you use that. For hardware, we recommend an iPhone 12... However, you can also use common scanners like Comb, Structure, EinScan, Artec, etc. and just upload those to your order.
Is there a height or weight limit?
Technically, the approved weight limit is 175 kg, but that’s only because we did ISO testing up to a P8 load. As for height, we can serve patients up to roughly 7’0” with a decently long residual limb. Depends on their body and amputation. Please reach out to confirm.
What kind of material is this?
We use a proprietary filament that is not available commercially. We call it "M3". One of the secret weapons at Limber is that our CEO is a PhD materials scientist, and we developed this material to accomplish the perfect blend of durable and dynamic. Perfect for a prosthesis.
Can I print this myself?
No. This is nothing like your nephew’s 3D printer. Our printers are the size of a commercial refrigerator, custom built for this application, and every device is designed, manufactured and processed in our FDA approved manufacturing facility here in San Diego, CA.
Does the Px1 work with a footshell?
Indeed. There are many options here, ranging from a Proteor sandal toe to a Limber molded tread (at zero heel height) for barefoot applications. When you place your order, we will ask you what you’d like for a footshell and design that Px1 specifically for that configuration.
What are the suspension options?
Basically all the options. The app will guide you through the options ranging from pin lock, to VIP pucks, smooth pins, valves and more. If you are a Limber CPO partner and want to use something unique, just send us one and we will do the 3D design to incorporate it into your app’s options.
